TomaTío

Knowledge and procedures

This page covers the brain's official pages: how they get in, how agents read them, and how the brain records where things came from. It describes TomaTío 1.9.8.

Knowledge is facts the team agrees on (TomaTío > Library > Knowledge). Procedures are how the team does things (TomaTío > Library > Procedures). Every version is kept. Each page belongs to one scope, and agents only read pages in scopes they can read.

How pages get in

Curators can write either kind directly. Procedures otherwise only arrive by import.

Knowledge can also be suggested. A suggestion waits in the Review Queue until a curator or administrator makes it official. Suggestions come from:

  • the summariser: facts with importance 70 or more from old memory;
  • a comment turned into a review note by a curator or a document's lead;
  • an assembled document;
  • an import.

Saving a memory never creates a suggestion by itself. When something must be made official now, the AI (artificial intelligence) app asks a person with Ask a person to review work.

Reading

Agents use Read the brain's knowledge and procedures, which returns approved pages only, and See who wrote each part of a knowledge entry. The session briefing includes approved knowledge and relevant procedures.

To brief a page in full every time, a curator clicks Pin to briefings on the Knowledge or Procedures list. Up to 20 pinned pages from each list come first.

Ask the brain a question answers a question of up to 500 characters about one document or page, with citations, from the memories and approved knowledge in its scope. It needs an AI provider on the site, and has daily spending caps.

Sources and provenance

Record where something came from stores a reference to an outside source, such as a web link, document or meeting, never its content. A memory can then cite it.

Every memory and page records who wrote it, for whom, through which AI app, and what it was built from. With Record what an AI session saw before it wrote on (TomaTío > Settings > Privacy, on by default), it also records what the AI had read first: identifiers only, kept 90 days by default. Curators see this in the Provenance panel.

Connect your AI to TomaTío's docs brain and ask it.

Walk me through it
  1. Get a login in one click at console.tomatio.ai/try. It is read-only.
  2. Add a custom connector with this address:
    https://console.tomatio.ai/wp-json/agent-brain/v1/mcp
    • Claude: in claude.ai, open Customize > Connectors, click Add and choose Custom connector. Name it TomaTío docs and paste the address.
    • ChatGPT: open Settings, then Apps. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode and click Create app. Name it TomaTío docs, paste the address as the MCP server URL, choose OAuth and click Create.
  3. Sign in with your login when it asks, and click Allow access.
  4. Ask it, for example “How do I install TomaTío?” If your AI has other connectors too, mention TomaTío.

It answers from this manual and from what the docs brain knows about TomaTío and the Portable Context Protocol (PCP), with sources.
