TomaTío

Sharing pages and documents

This page explains the two ways to show an artifact (an HTML page or a document) to people in TomaTío 1.9.8. Both show the live version.

Members address Share link
Looks like https://<your-site>/a/<name> https://<your-site>/share/<id>/<token>
Who can open it Signed-in people who may read the artifact Anyone with the link (public), or signed-in members (private)
Expires Never After 72 hours by default, at most a year

Members address

Every artifact has a permanent team address made from its title, for example /a/roadmap.

  • Signed-out visitors are sent to sign in, then back.
  • Anyone who may not read the artifact gets "not found".
  • The lead, curators and people who manage the brain can open an older version by adding ?v=<number>.

Your signed-in home page lists every artifact you may read, with a link to its members address. An artificial intelligence (AI) can get the address with Get the members-only link.

Ask your AI to Make a share link. You choose:

  • Private (the default) or public. A private link opens only for members who sign in, and needs Viewer identity turned on for the artifact by a curator. A public link opens for anyone who has it.
  • How long it lasts: from 1 hour to a year (default 72 hours).
  • Optionally, that it works only from one Internet Protocol (IP) address.

Copy the link when it is shown: it is shown only once. For artifacts with a live public link, the home page offers Copy public link.

The lead, curators and people who manage the brain can make links. A link made by an agent working on its own waits until a curator approves it in the Share links box on the artifact's edit screen. With the setting Require curator approval for agent-minted share links, links made by anyone but a curator or manager wait too.

To manage links, ask your AI to list them (with status and how often each was opened), show views per day, or Turn off a share link, which stops it at once. Unpublishing or trashing an artifact turns off its links; archiving a private one does not. Disable all sharing in the Sharing settings stops every link.

Share links use the brain's own address. For extra isolation, someone who manages the brain can set a Preview host in TomaTío > Settings, Sharing, then click Test preview host. Pages cannot be edited in place on a preview host.

Embeds

An embed link lets another website show a document (not an HTML page) in a frame. List that website in Embed allowed origins in the Sharing settings first. Embed links last 24 hours by default.

All Sharing settings are described in Settings.

Need help?

Connect your AI to TomaTío's docs brain and ask it.

Walk me through it
  1. Get a login in one click at console.tomatio.ai/try. It is read-only.
  2. Add a custom connector with this address:
    https://console.tomatio.ai/wp-json/agent-brain/v1/mcp
    • Claude: in claude.ai, open Customize > Connectors, click Add and choose Custom connector. Name it TomaTío docs and paste the address.
    • ChatGPT: open Settings, then Apps. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode and click Create app. Name it TomaTío docs, paste the address as the MCP server URL, choose OAuth and click Create.
  3. Sign in with your login when it asks, and click Allow access.
  4. Ask it, for example “How do I install TomaTío?” If your AI has other connectors too, mention TomaTío.

It answers from this manual and from what the docs brain knows about TomaTío and the Portable Context Protocol (PCP), with sources.
